Risk Appetite Framework
The risk tolerance defined by the Board sets a conservative strategy which
aims to
maintain a moderate-low risk profile.
Focused on keeping the quantity and quality of capital, with solvency levels
clearly above the regulatory minimums, allowing us to anticipate that none
of the risks identified could generate losses which could not be withstood
within the normal operations of the bank.
The results of application of this philosophy are seen in a highly prudent
risk profile, in particular with regard to
high levels of solvency
and a
comfortable liquidity position.
The internal control framework
In line with the regulators’ guidelines and the sector’s best practices, it is
structured based on the model of three lines of defence that provides a
reasonable security level when it comes to achieving the Group’s objectives.
