Cecabank has been awarded the 2013 Fundación Dintel prize for the best banking project for its FORMS service, the first integrated online reputation management service specialising in the financial sector. The service includes monitoring reports and recommended measures, real-time alerts in the event of crises and opportunities to build reputation, and management of the institution’s response on the Internet and social media based on best practice from the international financial sector.

The judges based their decision on three key innovative features of the project, making FORMS a groundbreaking service in the international financial sector:

  •     it incorporates and quantifies the return on investment (ROI) from social networks and the Internet, based on brand assets and their returns;
  •     it tailors for the sector and each institution the international reputation standards adapted to the banking sector, in relation to the competition,
  •     it analyses corporate reputation correlations with banking business and customer databases and market information.

It also constitutes one of the first services anticipating Web 3.0 or the semantic web, by automatically detecting the positive or negative connotation or feeling of conversations about each institution taking place on the Internet.

Cecabank is the wholesale bank created by CECA to provide services to all financial institutions. Its business centres on three strategic lines: securities services, treasury and banking services. Its management philosophy is based on the art of prudence, rigorous knowledge, and openness to change.
