Jaime Sanz, Director of Technology Platforms at Cecabank, has taken part in Computing magazine’s “CIO&Negocio 2025” to discuss the bank’s technology strategy and the innovation challenges facing the financial sector.
With extensive experience in technological transformation, Jaime Sanz is taking on the challenge of leading Cecabank’s technological evolution with a clear objective: “to provide resilient, secure, simple, interoperable and efficient technology solutions that also democratise the use of data through clean, reliable and scalable data architectures, enabling business intelligence and AI to create new business opportunities”. To achieve this, the bank is committed to “a fully integrated end-to-end hybrid platform, from the mainframe to the cloud, allowing it to fully leverage the advantages of cloud processing”.
In addition, the executive underlines that “innovation is one of the main pillars of the Strategic Plan” and that artificial intelligence holds “an important position in the technology strategy, with use cases already in production for fraud detection, security and information analysis”.
He also highlights initiatives such as “the creation of a network of AI coordinators, the adoption of tools such as Copilot, and the development of a generative AI platform to explore new use cases”, all under a progressive and responsible approach.
