Cecabank consolidates its presence in Luxembourg, where provides services of depositary, custody and settlement of securities to more than a dozen clients.

Year and middle after the opening of its branch in Luxembourg, the company has gone growing in the main European centre for the industry of investment funds. From the beginning of its activity in the Grand Duchy, Cecabank has strengthened gradually its presence in the field of Securities Services, combining the proximity of a home team with the experience, the operating capacity and the infrastructure developed in different markets.

The activity in Luxembourg has been seen accompanied by the sustained growth of the business. At close of August of 2026, the company registers in Luxembourg more than 1,000 million euros in low assets deposit and more than 6,000 million euros in low assets custody. During this period, Cecabank has expanded also its client base so much on the market Spanish as in other European markets, a reflection of the confidence that financial institutions, managers and corporate investors deposit in the company.

Cecabank drives the debate on the tokenización in Luxembourg

As part of its activity in Luxembourg, Cecabank will celebrate on 24 September the meeting «Building Luxembourg’s digital assets ecosystem: to strategic roundtable«, that will gather to representatives of financial institutions, managers, suppliers technological and organisations of the sector to analyse the impact of the tokenización in the evolution of the financial markets.

The meeting will put the focus in the challenges and opportunities that poses the adoption of digital assets by the financial industry, as well as in the role that Luxembourg is so-called to carry out in the development of these market new infrastructures. In this context, Cecabank has strengthened its presence in some european ventures principals linked to the digital assets, as RL1 (Regulated Layer One), panEuropean infrastructure for digital financial markets, and Qivalis, consortium aimed at the development of digital money and settlement solutions in euros on technology blockchain.

The meeting will have one keynote of Vine Hribar, Head of Institutional Partnerships in Qivalis, and with the round table «Tokenize the present to prepares the future«, in which will participate Carlos Matilla Sanz, CEO of ioBuilders; Ben Brophy, Head of Institutional Growth, Europe in Solana Foundation; Emmanuelle Lemarquis, Conducting Officer – Compliance & Legal in CaixaBank Asset Management Luxembourg; and Virginia Linares González, Head of Coordination & Control, Securities Services in Cecabank. The debate will be moderate by Simon Gorbutt, Deputy CEO of Luxembourg for Finance. The institutional opening will be the responsibility of Ainhoa Jáuregui Arnáiz, CEO of Cecabank, whereas Brenda Bol, Country Head of Cecabank in Luxembourg, will be the one responsible for close the meeting.
