Aurora Cuadros, Corporate Director of Securities Services at Cecabank, took part in the 5th 'The Future of Depository Services' hosted by FundsPeople with the sponsorship of Cecabank and other leading industry players.
During the panel discussion "Digital assets and technology: a business opportunity for the industry", Aurora shared her insight on the challenges and opportunities brought by the integration of new technologies in depository services and underscored the importance of striking a balance between innovation and stability, pointing out that: “Legacy technology was at the heart of many core applications in securities services."
In her remarks, Aurora stressed that this transformation is not only technical but also strategic: “Besides technology, it's also very much about regulation and people too. The advent of these new technologies has an impact in terms of cultural transformation.”
