Cecabank and the Official Spanish Chamber of Commerce in Germany sign a collaboration agreement to promote financial training

3 September 2015
  • Training will be developed by Cecabank's Banking Training School
  • Established for 85 years in Frankfurt, the Official Spanish Chamber of Commerce in Germany is the oldest Spanish institution in Germany after the Embassy

The Chairman of the Official Spanish Chamber of Commerce in Germany, Juan José de Vicente Caballero, and the Assistant Director of Cecabank, Antonio Romero, signed a collaboration agreement today. It aims to promote financial training and the development of banking and financial education and training.

The first activity it will engage in is related to a training programme distribution project. Cecabank will contribute its Banking Training School (EFB). This will give the Chamber access to its e-learning platform for the distribution of training programmes. The range of courses included in this initiative are divided into three areas of knowledge: banking regulation (MIFID, Prevention of Money Laundering, Personal Data Protection Act, among others), financial markets and executive skills.

The Official Spanish Chamber of Commerce in Germany will collaborate on the dissemination of these activities. It will promote and coordinate participation among all its members, professionals, and other stakeholders.

At the signing of the agreement the President of the Chamber, Juan José de Vicente Caballero, put forward several ideas. "We are very pleased to be able to sign this cooperation agreement with Cecabank. For us, the Official Spanish Chamber of Commerce in Germany represents the ideal vehicle to roll out these economic and financial courses in Germany".

Antonio Romero also took part in the event. “Cecabank's thorough understanding of the financial sector is what gives its EFB added value. With this initiative we want to contribute to the work carried out by the Chamber supporting companies and professionals in Germany”.

The agreement is added to those already signed with Spanish Chambers of Commerce in France, Belgium, and Luxembourg. It represents a significant commitment for Cecabank in terms of the international reach of its Banking Training School.
